Vespar Information:

Vespar is an anti-depressant drug known to be effective for the interim relief of the symptoms of anxiety, including motor tension, shakiness, trembling, tension, muscle aches, fatigue, inability to relax, eyelid twitches, restlessness, autonomic hyperactivity, sweating, heart pounding or racing, cold, clammy hands, dry mouth, dizziness, and upset stomach. It belongs to anti-anxiety class of medication; it is not chemically or pharmacologically correlated with benzodiazepines, barbiturates, or other tranquilising/anxiolytic medicines

The results of Vespar are mostly seen after three to four weeks of treatment. The required dosage depends on the response of the individual. Vespar should be taken 3 times a day, 5 mg at each dose. It is to be taken orally. To obtain the best beneficial response, at every 2 to 3 days the dose may be increased 5 mg per day, if required. You must remember that the maximum daily dose should not surpass 60 mg each day. There is no proof that Vespar is addictive.

This drug can be consumed after or before a meal; empty or full stomach is not a necessary for it. In case of you miss a dose, take one as soon as you remember. You must not take 2 doses together.

Vespar contains buspirone hydrochloride, a type of drug called an anxiolytic. The methods by which buspirone acts are not too well known. It seems to work by altering the discharge of a mixture of neurotransmitters in the brain. Neurotransmitters are chemicals stored in nerve cells. They are responsible for transmitting messages between the nerve cells. Buspirone is believed to improve the action of the neurotransmitters dopamine and noradrenaline, and to decrease the activity of the neurotransmitters serotonin and acetylcholine in the brain. The overall function is to mitigate feelings of unease.

Vespar is not similar to other anxiolytics as it does not have anticonvulsant or muscle relaxant properties. Moreover, it does not harm psychomotor function, or cause sedation or physical dependence. This medication is used to treat general anxiety disorders and anxiety caused by alcohol craving or smoking cessation. It also helps to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder among children.

As in the case of most medicines, Vespar has certain side effects. However, they are rare and mild and not dangerous in nature. If they occur, they tend to wane with continued treatment, or are less regular if the preliminary dosage is low and increased steadily. Some common side effects include headaches, nervousness, agitation, nausea and insomnia.
