Erectile dysfunction, or impotence in men, means the inability to attain an erection for sexual penetration or sexual satisfaction. The inability of attaining an erection can be very frustrating, not to mention embarrassing. This disorder mainly targets older men, as studies have shown that erectile dysfunction tendencies increase with age. According to a survey about 75 percent men over 70 years of age suffer from impotence. The percentage is insignificant for men under 25 years of age - i.e. less than 1 percent.
